First Day

First Day!

Can’t believe today was the first day!! It came fast for sure! I am so happy everyone can be back to school. I wanted to send a little email to all of you. I am Janie Tomasek, his is my 5th year teaching at San Tan! I started off in the toddler room in Montessori then I moved up to being a Pe Teacher/Art teacher for Recker Campus for 2 years. Last year was my first year teaching at both Campuses. I teach PE here at Recker and Art over at the Power. Yep I get the best of both worlds. I love my job!

A little bit about me: I am from Illinois and moved out here 7 years ago. I come from a big background in volleyball. This is actually 20th year coaching! I played lots of sports growing up. So sports has always been in my blood. When I have spare time I like to; workout, spend time with my family, hike, explore, and of course relaxing by the pool.

Your student will learn about many things in this class. Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, and Graphic Design. I give them a little taste of everything plus they will learn about some Art History too!
